Yinan 2 gas field is located in Kuqa depression of Tarim basin within Kuqa county , Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, about 3km to Yiqikelike oilfield in north.
In Jan, 1998, the industrial gas flowing from well Yinan 2 led to the discovery of the field. As of the end of 1999, the possible gas bearing area had been 98 km2 and the possible OGIP 1635.24×108m3 as estimated. Yinan 2 gas field is a large gas field with high abundance.
