Yangtake condensate gas field is located in the western part of Tabei uplift and the west-northern margin of Luntai salient of Tarim basin within Xinhe county, about 70km west-south of the town, 4.5km to Wu-Ka highway in north and 150km to Arkesu city in west.
With the geophysical reconnaissance commenced in 1985, Yangtake condensate gas field was discovered as a result of an industrial gas flowing found from well Yangta-1 in Sep.1994. As of the end of 1995, it had proven 17.3km2 gas-bearing area, OGIP 249.07×108m3 and 216.5×104t OOIP of gas condensate. Yangtake condensate gas field is regarded as a medium gas field with high abundance.
