Yaha condensate gas field in Tarim basin

Yaha condensate gas field lies in Yaha fault structural zone of Tarim basin within Kuqa county, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region.
In Yaha fault structural zone, geophysical reconnaissance begun in 1989. A industrial gas flowing was found in well Yaha 3 during Feb. to March 1993, leading to the discovery of Yaha condensate gas field. As of the end of 1994, it had proven OOIP 1616¡Á104t £¬OGIP 357.78¡Á108m3 , 2826.9¡Á104t OOIP of gas condensate and 47.59¡Á108m3 OGIP of solution gas. With a reserve abundance of 7.31¡Á108m3/km2, Yaha condensate gas field is regarded as a large gas field with medium abundance.
The construction of Yaha condensate gas field was completed and put into production on Oct.31,2000. It¡¯s the largest integral condensate gas field in China. After putting into production, an enclosed gathering and transporting process with high-pressure and ambient temperature has been applied, in which the produced condensate gas with high pressure is treated and oil and gas are metered and separated, then the condensate gas is boosted and re-injected into reservoir and the recovered gas condensate is transported through pipeline for sales. It is a new production technology, featuring advanced technically, economic, energy saving and environment friendly with a result of production cost reduction significantly.
