Taijinier gas field is located in Sanhu depression of the eastern
Qaidam basin within an area under jurisdiction of Ger city, Qinghai
province, about 130km to a hasty road.
In Taijinier gas field, oil and gas exploration initialed in 1976.
A commercial gas flow in well Taizhong-1 were obtained in Aug.1976,
leading to the discovery of Taijinier gas field. As of the end of
1998, 61.0 km2 overlapping gas-bearing area had been defined with
a probable OGIP of 310.69¡Á108m3. Taijinier gas field is a medium
abundance gas field.
