Saibei 1 gas field is located in the northern slope of Sanhu Quaternary
depression in the eastern Qaidam basin, 120km west-north of Germu
city, Qinghai province and connecting with No.215 national highway
through about 130 km long hasty road.
In Sebei 1 gas field, oil and gas exploration initialed in 1964.
In well Beican- 3, a commercial gas flow was obtained in 1964, leading
to the discovery of Saibei-1 gas field. As of the end of 1997, the
overlapping gas-bearing area had been up to 38.9 km2 with a probable
OGIP of 492.22¡Á108m3 proven. Saibei-1 gas field is regarded as a
large gas field with high abundance.
Sebei 2 gas field in Qaidam basin
Saibei 2 gas field is located in the northern slope of Sanhu depression
in the eastern Qaidam basin, within Germu city, Qinghai province
and connecting with No.215 national highway through about 120 km
long hasty road.
In Sebei 2 gas field, oil and gas exploration initialed in 1975.
In well Sezhong 1, a commercial gas flow was obtained in 1964, proving
Saibei 2 structure as a structure with commercial gas flowing. As
of the end of 1997, the overlapping gas-bearing area had been up
to 39.98 km2 with an accumulative proven OGIP of 422.89¡Á108m3. Saibei
2 gas field is regarded as a large gas field with high abundance.
Sebei gas field is one of four major inland gas areas in China.
During the development of Sebei gas field over five years, the guideline
of sticking on an integrated development of ¡° Upper- middle-downstream¡±
has put the field on a track of good development.
