Qiudong condensate gas field is located in the eastern part of
Taibei sag of Tuha basin within Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,
about 40km of Shanshan county, adjacent to Shanshan oilfield in
west and Wenjisang oilfield in south.
In the area, oil and gas exploration work initialed in 1954, a condensate
gas flowing found in well Qiudong-3 from Sep. to Nov. 1991 led to
the discovery of Qiudong condensate gas field. As of the end of
1998, it had proven 16.6 km2 gas-bearing area with an OGIP 112.96¡Á108m3
and a gas condensate OOIP of 330.9¡Á104t. It is the only one medium
condensate gas field discovered in Tuha basin. Its annual condensate
gas production was 493.0¡Á104 m3.
