| Hutubi gas field is located in Hutu anticlinal
belt of Junggar basin, about 4.5km east of Hutubi county and about
78km to Urumqi city in east-south.
In Hutubi area, magnetic, gravitational and electric prospecting
begun in 1952. Hutubi gas-field was discovered as a result of an
industrial gas flowing found in well Hu-2 on Aug.6,1996.
Up to 1999, a gas-bearing area of 15.2 km2 £¬OGIP 126.12¡Á108m3 of
natural gas and OGIP 60¡Á104t of condensate gas had been proven.
Hutubi gas field is a medium gas field with medium abundance. It
had a yearly gas production of 2517¡Á104m3 .
