| Located in the northern part of the central mud
piercement diapir zone in Yinggehai basin, Dongfang 1-1 gas field
lies in Yingerhai offshore, Hainan province, 100km to Yinggehai
town of Ledong county in east and 170 km to Yacheng13-1 gas field
in east-south. It is a shallow gas field.
With its oil and gas exploration begun in 1970s, Dongfang1-1 gas
field was discovered as a result of an industrial gas flowing found
in well Dongfang1-1-2 in Jul.1992. As of the end of 1994, it had
proven £²£¸£·£®£·km2 gas-bearing area and about OGIP £¹£¶£¶£®£¸¡Á108m3 . It
had an annual production of £²£´¡Á108m3 . As planned in the development
program for Dongfang gas field preliminarily on Aug.25,2000, five
production platforms, one compressor, 26 production wells, £±£±£°km
submarine pipeline with diameter of£µ£µ£¸mm will be constructed offshore
to provide a gas delivery capacity of £²£´X108m3. Through treatment
and stabilization of natural gas and condensate in Dongfang 1-1
onshore terminal within Dongfang Chemical city, 8 X108m3 natural
gas will be supplied specially to the CNOOC Petrochemical Ltd. and
16 X108m3 to Yangpu Power Plant and Haikou city. With a total investment
of 3270 million RMB, it was put into overall production in 2001.
Dongfang gas field is planned to complete the construction and commence
gas delivery in Nov. 2003. It is a low abundance large gas field
with high carbon dioxide content.
