Jilin Oilfield is located in the southern Songliao
basin of Songyuan district, Jilin province. Its exploration and
development cover the southern Songliao basin and Yitong basin within
Jilin province.
Its exploration begun in 1955. Since the discovery of its first
oilfield ¨C Fuyu oilfield as a result of the commercial oil flow
found in well Fu 27 on 29th September, as of the end of Dec.1997,
there had been 25 oilfields totally proven over 43 years such as
Fuyu, Mutou, Xinmin, Xinmiao, Xinli, Xinbei, Qianan, Dalaoyefu,
Shuangtuozi, Yikeshu, Sifangtuozi, Yingtai, Honggang, Daan, Daanbei,
liangjia, Haituozi, Dafangshen, Sijiazi, Buhai, and Changchunmoliqing
and so on, including two large oilfields with reserves over 100
million ton - Fuyu and Xinmin. In Jilin oilfield, an oil bearing
area of 1384.3 km2 has been proven with a proven OOIP of 7.7189¡Á108t
and a gas-bearing area of 118.9 km2 proven with a proven OGIP of
98.51¡Á108m3. The oil production capacity of 19 oilfields under development
such as Fuyu has reached over 4 ¡Á106t/a and the refining capacity
reached 7¡Á105 t/a . Jilin oilfield is ranked as No.9 among the Chinese
oilfields.
During bringing into existence and development from small to large
over 40 years, the yearly production of Jilin oilfield have been
risen to over 4 ¡Á106t from several dozen thousands t of a simple
oilfield through arduous working, focused development and pioneering
by several generations of oil workers. Jilin oilfield is distributed
across three districts (Changchun, Songyuan and Baicheng ) and twenty
cities or counties (areas). As a large state-owned petroleum enterprise
group, it integrates oil & gas exploration and development,
scientific research and design, construction, production service,
diversified business and social service, making a greater contribution
to the strategic goal of ¡°Stabilizing east and developing west¡±
as well as providing stimulation and support for local economic
development.
