Dian-Qian-Gui Oilfield lies in the southwest China
with an exploration area of 86¡Á104 km2 , covering Yunnan, Guizhou
Provinces and Guangxi Autonomous Region. There are numerous small
Tertiary basins as well as Mesozoic /Paleozoic basins with an area
of 27.2 ¡Á104 km2 available for exploration. Important breakthroughs
for oil and gas exploration have been made one by one in Baise,
Chishui, Chuxiong etc., illustrating the broad prospect for oil
and gas development in Dian-Qian-Gui area.
By the end of 2001, four small oil and gas fields: Baise oilfield
in Guangxi, Chushui gas field in Guizhou and Luliang and Baoshan
gas fields in Yunnan had been discovered and taken into production.
The accumulative proven OOIP is 12.69 ¡Á104 t with a maximum annual
production capacity of 14 ¡Á104 t while the accumulative OGIP is
56.5 ¡Á108 m3 with a maximum annual production capacity of 2 ¡Á108
m3. Up to now, the accumulative total output is 1.109 ¡Á106 t oil
and 18.1 ¡Á108 m3 natural gas.
In Dian-Qian-Gui oilfield, an oilfield with an oil production capacity
of 14¡Á104 t/a t was found in Baise of Guangxi and new gas fields
were found through potential tapping and modification in Chishui
area of Guizhou, increasing the annual gas production from 23 ¡Á106
m3 to the top figure of 2 ¡Á108 m3. Meanwhile, the exploration in
Chuxiong basin and Shiwandashan has provided new information and
data. Particularly, the important discovery of natural gas well
with 1¡Á108 m3 of gas open flow potential available in Luliang basin
of Yunnan has preliminarily indicated the perspect for oil and gas
development in Dian-Qian-Gui area. It is inevitable to provide a
new successor as the strategic backup for oil and natural gas resources
in the southern China in the new century.
